That’s the year Adam was born on April fourth in Seattle, Washington. Five months and eleven days later, Helen arrived in Rosemead, California. Although it would take nearly thirty-seven years for the two to meet, their lives criss-crossed in several ways and places with many a near encounter. It was at Serendipity Lounge & Cafe in April of 2021 that the pair were destined to meet. Adam had worked at the Magnolia neighborhood establishment a decade previously, and had been dear friends with the owners for even longer. When he came back to help out, he and his new coworker Helen clicked immediately. Not only did they share a birth year, the same sense of humor, and a love for jalapeño Hawaiian pizza…they soon discovered they wanted to share their family and futures, forever.
